Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors is comprised of community leaders who supervise Limen Recovery + Wellness and assist in its operation.

Limen Recovery + Wellness, through measured growth and the leadership of Executive Director Michael Duffy, and the Limen Recovery + Wellness Board of Directors is engaged in the $5,000,000.00 capital campaign to supplement the programmatic and capital expansion in 2023 with our new headquarters and recovery center located at 819 Washington St., Wilmington, DE.

Throughout our over 50-year history, Limen has been the miracle in your backyard you’ve never heard of, a quiet leader that pioneered recovery services in Delaware and the United States. Even in the earliest conceptions, the community was a part of our leadership, started by a group of women who saw the plight of substance use disorder back in 1969; they formed the Limen House. Their quiet leadership has provided a vision for service and a signpost for our phenomenal growth starting in 2016.

Without the vision, persistence, and commitment of board President Sally Loessner, Vice President Susie Hudson, Treasurer Dan Johnson, and Secretary Gus Cicala, Limen would not be in a position for a once-in-a-lifetime expansion vertically and horizontally.

The board and the servant leadership of Mike Duffy have positioned our organization to be a thought leader in the recovery space in Delaware – Beginning in New Castle County, with this vision extending beyond to Sussex and Kent counties with our leadership, in forming the First State Alliance for Recovery Residences (FSARR).
